About this track
This is an original late-hour house lament. Jesus weeps outside the tomb and does not remain a spectator. The chorus holds the Beatitude in the future tense: you who mourn shall be comforted, yet not every tear is gone and night has not ended. What holds in that interval is God-with-us and steadfast love. When the lights that steer a life disappear, do not call the hour absence. The church weeps with those who weep. Alleluias rise low, before dawn, from the ones who still keep watch.
